King King – ‘Maverick’ (Channel 9 Music)

Being rather late to the King King trail, David O’Neill is essentially listening to much of their back catalogue as a result of their tour at the beginning of last year (2019).  Following the band reshuffle this is the first offering since the acclaimed ‘Exile and Grace’ (2017). Well, we suppose this year would be as good as any to record new music as there is little chance of any live music, especially on the back of such a big band reshuffle with Alan Nimmo being the only original member now left.

Belarus Beaver – ‘Planet of the Beavers’ (Grind To death Records)

It would appear that Jonny B has somehow ended up with some kind of reputation at ÜRHQ which has resulted in him being the first port of call for this album from self-styled “Beavergrind” band, Belarus Beaver. He did think that he might lodge a complaint about this prejudice but decided instead that he might as well get his teeth into this (sic) and see what the fuss is about…
