For this week’s segment, we take a step back in time, but also very firmly into both the present and future, with first new release in what seems like donkeys’ years (it’s actually eight) from the original leather-clad queen of rock ‘n’ roll… Ms Suzi fuckin’ Quatro.
‘No Soul/No Control’ is a defiant statement of intent, clearly demonstrating that, even after five and a half decades, she is very much still at the top of her game, both vocally (she sounds amazing on this) and musically. Ms Q herself says of both the song and her forthcoming new album, ‘No Control’:
“You may get the idea the word ‘control’ is very important. It is. I am in control. The song is organic, thesessions were organic, the album is organic, the video is organic. Everything just happened naturally. Kudos to my son Richard. Real music made by a real artist who has been around the block and back again. 55 years after all!! I am so proud of this project, I have come back ‘home where I belong’.”
