Chosen by Monk

The Uber Rock Approved stampMy latest hot choice – so hot it’s not officially released until tomorrow – comes from a band with whose name, also the title of this, their second single, I can readily identify, especially after ten night shifts in a row!

The Vancouver punk quartet formed only last year and is made up of members of local DIY mainstays Kid Lucifer, The Khans and Bloomshack. Drawing influences from classic punk acts like Dead Boys and Fear as much as modern genre exponents such as  Amyl and the Sniffers, Militarie Gun and Drug Church, they deliver a brash, high-energy, in-your-face sound that cuts through the noise (and the cloudy, rainy Vancouver weather) to deliver an explosive, rousing and punchy track full to the brim with a punk rock, devil-may-care attitude.
