A couple of weeks ago, Tunisian metal crue Myrath dropped the stunning video to the track ‘No Holding Back’, the final instalment in a trilogy of themed clips to promote their forthcoming new album, ‘Shehili’. In fact, we at ÜR were so impressed with the epic visualization that we gave it our coveted ‘Video Of The Week’ award at the time… Band founder and vocalist Zaher Zorgati recently popped across the English Channel from his adopted home of Paris to dirty ol’ London town, for a round of media interviews. Needless to say, we took the opportunity to grab a chat with this most charismatic of characters…

To say that the first ever visit to this particular corner of the Überverse by one of the definite stars of the British punk ‘n’ roll firmament was eagerly anticipated would be somewhat of an understatement. This debut Belfast show sold out in less than a minute, with the following evening’s return gig down the motorway in Dublin not taking much longer,  making it one of THE “must-see” shows of the year.

One of the more interesting boutique festivals on the summer circuit is the Maverick Festival, dedicated to all things Americana, and set amongst the restored Victorian barns and out-buildings of Easton Farm Park in the Suffolk countryside. Established in 2008, the Maverick Festival is low the leading Americana event in the UK and has become a beacon for roots music from both sides of the Atlantic, whether it be country, bluegrass, Cajun and beyond.
