It’s our favourite time of the year here at ÜRHQ – Halloween weekend! Yes, we know All Hallow’s Eve itself was yesterday, but in true pagan tradition we carry on proceedings until the veil between the worlds closes once again at the end of All Souls Day – which means that, of course, we need some suitable audio and visual treats to accompany DQ’s rituals and ceremonies… And who better to provide the soundtrack to all things spooktacular than either the master of the grotesque, the one and only Rob Zombie, or the original duke of spook, Wednesday 13? Or even better – both of them? King King – ‘Maverick’ (Channel 9 Music)

Being rather late to the King King trail, David O’Neill is essentially listening to much of their back catalogue as a result of their tour at the beginning of last year (2019).  Following the band reshuffle this is the first offering since the acclaimed ‘Exile and Grace’ (2017). Well, we suppose this year would be as good as any to record new music as there is little chance of any live music, especially on the back of such a big band reshuffle with Alan Nimmo being the only original member now left.
