Our latest #VOTW choices comes from one of the pillars of the British metal scene, Blaze Bayley, who is unleashing his inner ‘Rage’ on the second single to be lifted from his forthcoming latest solo album.
The song tells the story from Welsh folklore of Gelert the faithful hound and his unfortunate demise at the hands of his beloved owner Prince Llewelyn, and features violinist Anne Bakker, who also worked with Blaze on his ‘Infinite Entanglement’ trilogy. The animation for the video was developed by Hot Frog Animations and is a suitably dramatic, anguished portrayal of the tale.
- Blaze Bayley’s latest album, ‘Circle Of Stone‘, is released later this year.
- He plays a series of shows in Ireland this month, starting in Warrenpoint on Saturday (3 February), hitting Omagh, Belfast, Dublin and Limerick before finishing with two shows in Cork.
