Speaking about the song, the band told us:
Lyrically, [it] is about the allure of medicating yourself to the world every day, or every now and then, be it for good or bad. Almost cynically…through whatever medium you choose. The music is so driving, it’s just a ‘fuck it’ kinda song to me. I enjoyed getting the lyrics together for this more than any other song we’ve ever done and that’s not hyperbole. It was like having a conversation with the little fuckin brat that still lives inside of me somewhere.
