They may be undertaking their #BigFinish but these classic rock veterans are wishing us #GoodLuckTrying to find a better choice for our latest #DailyPick, as they surprise fans with the release of the opening track off their forthcoming farewell album, the suitably titled ‘Ten’.
Guitarist Paul Gilbert explained the meaning behind the lead song:
Overall, it’s about being overwhelmed with life, and realizing that you won’t win many of the battles, but still fighting to the end. And keeping a sense of humor about it by saying to anyone nearby, ‘wish me good luck trying!’
Written and recorded – both live in the studio and on the tour bus – during the band’s ongoing farewell tour (which returns to the ÜK in July), the album also features drummer Nick D’Virgilio.
