Our good friends at Vive Le Rock magazine will be broadcasting the message ‘Vive Le Rockdown’ this coming Saturday (23 May), with a free online ‘festival’.
Among the 32 acts taking part are Über-approved artists such as Ruts DC, Cockney Rejects, Michael Monroe, The Picturebooks, Kirk Brandon (from Spear Of Destiny), Derek Forbes (of Simple Minds) and Sex Pistols legend Glen Matlock, as well as our good friend Ricky Warwick and newer acts such as Riskee And The Ridicule, Tokyo Taboo and The Barstool Preachers.
While the event is free to watch, donations will be encouraged, with all proceeds going to the Music Venue Trust’s #saveourvenues campaign.
‘Vive Le Rockdown’ will be streamed live on Facebook from 7pm (ÜK time) on Saturday (23 May).
The re-scheduled Vive Le Rock Awards are due to take place at the O2 Academy, Islington, on Wednesday 18 November.
