FESTIVAL NEWS: Bloodstock Adds Six More Bands
By Rich Hobson
Not one to rest on its laurels, Bloodstock Festival has dropped a further six bands for this year’s event, working towards closing the final remaining gaps in the line-up. First out the gates (and filling the Main Stage) are British thrash legends Xentrix, a very welcome addition and no major surprise considering they were special guest headliners at the Coventry Metal 2 The Masses competition!
Karybdis join Friday’s Sophie Lancaster stage, offering a premium slice of British death metal heaviness, providing a heavier counterpoint to Control The Storm’s melodic metal offering on the same stage that day.
It’s not all British acts though – fantastic black metal troupe Helheim have also joined the bill, alongside fellow Norwegian heavy metal warriors Guardians of Time, both bands taking up residence on Saturday’s Sophie Lancaster stage.
Finally, Bulgarian groove metal gents Oddcrew also join Saturday’s Sophie Lancaster stage.
Bloodstock festival is due to be held August 8 – 11 at Catton Hall Park in Derby. Weekend tickets are available now, while day tickets go on-sale on 30 May.
