The Uber Rock Approved stampI’m sorry, but I can’t resist it… there is so much fucking good music coming out of our home city of Belfast at the moment that it is threatening to engulf the rest of the Überverse in a positive tsunami of awesomeness. It’s a fact which explains why, twice in just over a month our Video Of The Week award has gone to Northern Irish bands – and, oh look, the trend is continuing, as our first accolade of November is going to yet another highly talented act from this particular corner of the Über Kingdom of Rock ‘n’ Roll…

I first came across the artist known as Vaughanstrosity when he joined local horror rockers, and UR faves, So Long Until The Séance, closing what had until then been a revolving door of bass players. Now, the multi-instrumentalist is branching out on his own, with his debut solo EP, ‘Memes And Dreams’, which sees him exploring his own myriad influences and musical inspirations, from bleak industrial landscapes through screamo-meets-deathcore to good old-fashioned street punk, all wrapped in a glorious party-on-down package that makes you smile as much as it want to dance. And presented alongside a wonderfully tongue-in-cheek video that will make that grin even broader and get those toes tapping even more furiously…

So, let’s go with the ‘fl0w’ as we join DI Dino in his quest to recover his stolen music and claim the prized ‘Über Rock Video Of The Week’ virtual trophy in the process:

Hope you enjoyed that. Undoubtedly we’ll have a lot more great audio-visual treats to work our say through over the coming days, so until then: keep ‘er lit, keep ‘er between the edges and keep ‘er rockin’ with your favourite website that tickles the parts of the trolls that others can’t even dream of reaching \m/
