When it came to choosing our latest Video Of The Week there was only one submission which stood head and shoulders above every other one to come our way over the past seven days, not least because of its epic scope and massive production values. Yes, it is the latest offering from ÜS slashcore overlords Ice Nine Kills, who are welcoming us into the blood-soaked world of Horrorwood with their massive 11-minute long interpretation of the title track of their latest album.
Combining live action with computer game-style CGI, ‘Welcome To Horrorwood’ leaves no ladle unfilled when it comes to ladling on the pastiche-ridden, tongue-in-cheek gore, from heads being splintered by shotguns to cops being impaled on chainsaws in the best Freddie-meets-Jason style. Yes, it’s all good clean fun (sic), but definitely not one to watch in front of the children – and we present it here in all its uncensored g(l)oriousness:
