In a week that saw both their native Chicago gripped by some of the worst snowstorms in the city’s history and Alice In Chains announce their return to the Über Kingdom of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Chout released their new single, ‘Seasons’:

The timing was appropriate on both counts: not only do the Illinois quartet draw heavily on the AiC sound, but the song also addresses the issue of seasonal depression, as vocalist Brendan Maier explains:

“[It] is a song written about battling mental illness. The chorus “seasons cry for no one” is a play on words referencing seasonal depression directly, but the song is meant to represent an internal struggle with one’s demons.”

‘Seasons’ is taken from Chout’s latest album, ‘Dogwater’.
