This German supergroup – made up of members of Tygers Of Pan Tang, Bonfire, Gotthard and Freedom’s Call – are losing us in a storm of classic Seventies and Eighties style hard rock riffage on this latest extract from their just released fifth album, which is accompanied by an AI-infused video that draws from the David Lynch/Luc Besson school of gothic film noir:
Speaking about the single, guitarist Frank Pané told us:
[It] shows our more darker and heavy side. Definitely inspired by one of our favourite bands Black Sabbath, but still keeping trademark Sainted Sinners elements like an intense use of the Hammond to add a different flavour and unexpectedly ending, which could turn into a improvised jam at our live shows. Curious? Have a listen and don‘t get lost in the storm.
Going on to talk about their fifth album, ‘High On Fire‘, which was released this past Friday, he added:
It‘s a testimony of our passion for the music that we love most and is in our blood. Sainted Sinners is a very heartfelt musical outlet for everybody in the band and we hope listeners can feel that fire, which after decades in the rock ‘ n’ Roll business still burns high! We are „high on fire“ !
Sharing his sense of optimism about the album’s overall message, he said:
There are too many negative things happening all over the world right now, and you can’t ignore that. However, you always have to stay positive and firmly believe that calmer and better times will come again, and we hope to help our fans stay similarly positive with our music and continue to believe that everything will be okay.
