My latest pick of the (uncharted) pops comes from revived garage rockers The Chesterfield Kings, who want to ‘Meet You After Midnight’ with their first new music is 15 years:
Formed in the late ’70s, heavily mining the sounds of 1960s music from The Rolling Stones to acoustic blues and more, The Chesterfield Kings are regarded as having been instrumental in sparking the 1980s garage band revival that launched such like-minded bands as The Fuzztones, The Pandoras, The Cynics, and more, The band disbanded in 2009 but are back on the attack with this new single and a handful of dates as part of the The Wicked Cool Records Revue!, alongside Slim Jim Phantom And The Wildcats, Soraia and The Cocktail Slippers.
