Here we are once again at The Patriot, which has virtually become our “local” since the return of live music in the post-Covid era, for another triple dose of rock ‘n’ roll action.
First band tonight were Coyote Creed, a local four-piece – although tonight they were without their bassist – with a very rockabilly, bluesy style. Early comers were treated to a very fast-paced set, which although short was very enjoyable.
- Coyote Creed return to The Patriot, as support to Sons Of Liberty, on Friday 3 December.
By the time Firekind started, the place had filled up quite a lot. They delivered another fast-paced set, much heavier than the openers, with the great vocals a particular highlight. And the atmosphere was definitely increasing, as people were clapping along to all of the songs.
Time for headliner Jack J Hutchinson, who is gigging up and down the country in support of his forthcoming new album, ‘The Hammer Falls’. A blues/rock band with Jack on vocals and lead guitar, he treated everyone to his amazing guitar skills, with superb vocals to match. Again, everyone clapped, whistled and cheered every track.
All in all, the whole show went down very well. If you get a chance to catch Jack and his band on their current tour, which continues tonight (Friday 29 October) at Trillians in Newcastle, with six more dates to follow next month, you won`t be disappointed.
