By DJ Monk and The Dark Queen
Tom Harte should be known to many Über Rock readers as the beer-drinking, charismatic, down-to-earth, hard rockin’ frontman of Norn Iron’s hardest rockin’ band, Trucker Diablo. However, he has a gentler side, which few people outside his close circle of family and friends get to see…
…And it is something we peeled back the layers on when we met up with our old friend last night, just before his support slot with Danish singer/songwriter Mike Tramp at one of our favourite venues, the Diamond Rock Club in the heart (sic) of the County Antrim hills. With Monk behind the camera, The Dark Queen quizzed Tom on his recent solo EP, his future plans in regard to that aspect of his career and Trucker Diablo’s forthcoming tenth anniversary celebrations:
Trucker Diablo are heading back out on the road, with the following dates confirmed for the rest of the year:
- Friday 24 May – Lincoln, Call Of The Wild
- Sunday 26 May – Stoke Prior, Breaking Bands Festival (Tom also plays the acoustic stage)
- Saturday 3 August – Dungannon, Bapper’s Gig
- Friday 23 August – Hilden, Beer Festival
