The list of shows and tours being cancelled or postponed as a result of the current Covid-19 outbreak is growing longer by the hour.
The latest casualties include the co-headline tour by Evanescence and Within Temptation, the remaining dates on Tarja Turunen‘s solo tour, British prog rock legends Magnum‘s entire ‘Serpents Ring’ tour and the ‘State Of Unrest’ tour by Kreator, Lamb Of God and Power Trip. All of the acts are stressing that the tours will be re-arranged, and are advising fans to hold on to their tickets.
The growing list of cancellations is getting so long that it is almost impossible for us to keep up to date. It is probably safe to say, however, that the live music circuit is about to go into a state of virtual lockdown. With France, Germany, Ireland, Italy having declared all outdoor gatherings involving 500+ people and indoor events involving 100+ people banned, and Scotland looking to follow suit on Monday, this highly permeable situation inevitably will leak more events quicker than the Titanic.
