At ÜRHQ, we know that Jonny B easily suckered in by a left-field sounding genre, which is how he came into possession of this particular album bearing a smiling fuscia-coloured planet. All because it declared that it is “fun metal” and, let’s face it, who doesn’t love a bit of fun? Black Swan – ‘Generation Mind’ (Frontiers Music)

Kris E hates when the music industry tosses around the term “supergroup” willy-nilly but in the case of Black Swan the euphemism is actually quite fitting. The band really is made up of a lineup of superstar musicians with lead vocalist Robin McAuley (McAuley Schenker Group), guitarist Reb Beach (Winger/Whitesnake), bass guitarist Jeff Pilson (ex-Dokken/Foreigner), and drummer Matt Starr (Ace Frehley/Mr. Big). Their debut album ‘Shake The World’ did exactly that and the band is now back in all their hard rock glory with a brand new record ‘Generation Mind.’
