Controversial LA glam metal legends W.A.S.P are to bring their iconic first album back to life with a two-part UK and Ire tour over the summer into the Autumn.

The first set of five dates, which kicks off in Norwich on Sunday 20 July and takes them to Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow and Nottingham, via their previously announced headline appearance at the Steelhouse festival, will see them play their self-titled debut opus in its entirety. The second trio of dates will see them return in September, this time with Armored Saint in tow, for shows on Newcastle, Manchester and London:

Lawless says:

This is the tour that showcases the album that started the long, long undying bond between the band and to all the fans in your countries where all our international success first began 40 years ago. It was an angry record made by an angry band. It was a record that not only reflected the attitude of the band members who made it, but also a record that reflected its time.

This tour showcases for the first time, that landmark first album, played in its entirety, from top to bottom, most likely never to be repeated ever again. So be there and see these Winged Assassins, and witness this once in a lifetime event.

Whether ‘Animal (Fuck Like A Beast)’, famously deleted from the original album and which Lawless once swore he would never play live again, will be included in the setlist remains to be seen…
