Retro blues rockers Silveroller have announced that they will be revealing an almost entirely new line-up on their previously announced upcoming September run of dates.
Yesterday (Tuesday 30 July), the band surprised fans by announcing that guitarist Aaron Keylock, organist Ross Munro and bass player Jake James Cornes had all decided to leave. Earlier today (Wednesday 31 July), the two remaining members – vocalist Jonnie Hodson and drummer Joe Major – announced that they were being joined by new guitarist Joey Smith and bassist Dylan Evans.
The band told us:
After an amazing start to life for Silveroller, with the reaction we’ve had from the people we’ve played to and all the support we’ve had after releasing and touring our debut record, Aaron, Ross and Jake have decided to leave the band. We thank the boys for the work they have put in, and wish them all the best for their future.
To make a band like Silveroller work, it takes 100 per cent dedication to the music, the lifestyle of a touring musician trying to make it in the original market, and dedication to the work required.
With that, we’d like to introduce to you our new members, Joey and Dylan, whose work and efforts to get us back on our feet have been the driving force that has kept us focused on the task of getting Silveroller ready for our festival appearance at Just Push Play, and preparing for our first headline tour. Despite this setback, we intend to carry on from where we left off, and after a hectic few weeks of rehearsals, we can’t wait to get back out there and celebrate all of that effort by playing our debut record, and new music that we are working on, live! At this point we are still in the hunt for a keys player, and hope to have one in place in time for the tour.
Thank you all for the continued support, looking forward to seeing you on the road again.
Silveroller debut their new line-up at the Just Push Play festival in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday (3 August).
