The Uber Rock Approved stampIt’s DJ Astrocreep back behind the decks of doom in the virtual Singles Club for this instalment and we have acts from across the globe for your delectation. It’s been another bumper list of submissions, with the competition for inclusion fiercer than ever, so let’s get down to business and start spinning some tracks!

First up we have groove rock maestros Crobot who are waiting for ‘Better Times’ with their new single. Another riffy slice of southern rock sounding goodness, with an expansive, ear-grabbing sound.

Aussie pop punk revivalists The Chats are back out touring at the moment, hoping they won’t be ‘Struck By Lightning’ in their latest track. Yet more earwormingly good punk rock from the Aussie upstarts!

Faz Waltz has a ‘Hot Cold Fever’ in their excellent take on rockabilly, expertly reviving the sound of 50s Americana rock n roll.

Shadow Puppet Theatre are fusing some seriously groovy funky bass into a psych-rock package in eclectic track ‘Codename Summer’, with a seriously cool, chilled vibe contributing to some intricately layered and produced music.

Metal titans Rammstein are back on the promo trail with epic ballad ‘Zeit’. It’s pretty hard at this point to not know what the german legends sound like, and this is another chip off the old block, showing all the power and ability they have repeatedly demonstrated across the years.

Espirit D’Air are hitting a ‘Dead Zone’ in their latest track, with a highly melodic gothic metal sound. The underground electronic metal act are furthering their burgeoning reputation with yet another stunning single, featuring Ben Christo of Sisters of Mercy fame.

Slowing it right down now, we have Scandanavian act Wardruna with ‘Skugge’, their latest melodic, shamanistic-sounding single bringing an almost funeral doom take on their usual.

German fuzzwavers Gong Wah are crooning about ‘This Life in their first single, creating a dose of something melodic around a dystopian bitter pop sound.

Toy Car are a new act, showcasing a highly melodic psychedelic indie sound that is ‘Somewhere In Between’ The La’s and The Coral and what an introduction to the clearly talented act this is!

Uptempo garage rock is the sound of the day from Pit Pony with latest effort ‘Black Tar’ merging melody into a ferociously charged, psych-infused rock number!

Some more fuzzy punk now, as This Daze step up to the decks with a ‘Cigarette Smile’ and a sound that fits as well beside the likes of Fontaines D.C. as it does some of the 90s American rock movement.

And now for something completely different… H.C. Behrendtsen have crafted something that probably sits among the weirder tracks we have received in a while with ‘Ibiza/Heinz’. Experimental math-rock with heavy prog overtones makes for an enthralling listen!

Sum of Seven have already identified ‘The Enemy’ in their latest single and are assaulting it, aurally at least, with some top-notch prog metal with plenty of groove!

Hellblind are making a hell of an impression with their debut single ‘Hitched’, showcasing plenty of aggression alongside a musical harmony in their delectable heavy riffing metal track.

Heavy stoner rockers High Desert Queen are here to groove your head into outer space ‘As We Roam’ around a rather gorgeous sonic landscape in their latest effort!

Continuing our trip around space, some cosmic doom next from Cities of Mars, who are telling us all about their ‘Towering Graves’ in a sombre sounding, almost shamanistic take on the genre.

Lindsay Schoolcraft is transporting us to her ‘New World’ in her latest stunning crafted symphonic rock track. Full of atmosphere, melody and some stunning soundscapes, there are all sorts to love about this exquisite song.

Mild Orange are crafting some rather ear-catching dream psych in their latest single ‘F.E.A.R.’, showcasing just how the New Zealand guys are creating such a reputation for themselves.

J Prozac have put together the ‘Building Blocks’ of a rather catchy number in their new power-pop-punk effort, showing all the fun associated with the genre while being a really well-written earworm.

Eddie Vantex is showing the ‘Healing Touch’ with his single from his forthcoming debut and it’s a slice of 80s rock goodness, sounding just like some of the rockier end of Phil Collins’ solo career – a great introduction!

Art D’Ecco are back with a glam-infused electronica that is ‘Palm Slave’. Sounding equally inspired by The Stooges, David Bowie and Soft Cell, it’s a hell of an eclectic mix that perfectly forms a track you’re going to end up putting on repeat for at least an hour or two!

Our penultimate track sees us off to ‘Never Neverland’, as CPYist fuse their traditional darkwave sound with a post-punk spirit into a rather well-crafted song that just does not want to let go of you.

Finally, we have the perfect outro track for you with Apocalyptica and friends (namely Franky Perez and Geezer Butler) letting us know ‘I’ll Get Through It’ in a beautifully crafted, highly melodic song from the music masters.

Well, that’s your fill for another session. Once again, you’ve drunk the pumps and the optics dry and exhausted our playlist… We’ll be back in two weeks’ time, fully reloaded and restocked and ready to once again bring you the best rawk ‘n’f’n roll in the Überverse. So, in the meantime all that remains for me to say is keep ‘er lit, keep ‘er between the hedges and keep on rockin’ with your favourite website \m/
