This Irish alt-rock quartet are demonstrating exactly how they’ve come so far in a relatively short period of time with this impactful latest taster of their upcoming debut album:
Frontman DJ O’Sullivan told me a bit more about the County Clare band’s newest release:
Personally, I feel this song holds the deepest meaning for me, both lyrically and musically, across the entire album. For the guitar solo, I had the privilege of borrowing a Gibson Les Paul from the brother of my late guitar teacher (who has since also sadly passed away). Recording with that guitar felt like a full-circle moment – creating music meant to inspire others with an instrument that belonged to someone who inspired me so much during my teenage years. It really is something that I’m happy we got to do when recording.
Lyrically, the song is a reflection on life’s journey, seen through the eyes of someone who hasn’t always had an easy path, but has made changes for the better. It’s about recognizing that even during tough times, progress is being made. Only when you look back can you truly appreciate how far you’ve come. It’s a reminder to be proud of who you are and to embrace the journey you’re on.
- ‘Into The Unknown’ is due to be released on 20 February.
