Powerhouse vocalist Markie Medina explained the lyrical context of the track:
‘Crashing Waves’ really dives into the emotional chaos of dealing with someone who just couldn’t figure out their feelings or communicate properly. Their thoughts would overwhelm them, like crashing waves, pulling them away from the relationship. Instead of getting caught up in their indecision, we wanted to channel that experience into a message of reclaiming strength and focusing on self-care.
