Vocalist Carolina Bertelegni told me a bit more about the song and its powerful subject matter:
The lyrics express the anger and discomfort of a woman in not feeling represented by that modern female category that uses beauty as the only currency of exchange. While, on one side, we have independent and empowered women that fight to be recognized for what they’re worth, on the other side, we have so-called women that demand gender equality just when it’s convenient for them.
It’s hard enough being a woman in today’s society. It’s even harder if women themselves support the stereotype that men discriminate against.
