Chosen by Monk
My latest choice sees these Seattle proto-rock revivalists making it look easy with this bombastic commentary of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and the perceptions people have about those who live the dream.
Lead singer Triston Bracht shared some insight into the song:
When I wrote the lyrics for this tune, it was my first time recording professionally in LA. I was in an interesting head space; my dreams were finally coming true and I felt like nobody could touch me. It’s good to have a song that strokes a little bit of your own ego, though it takes a lot of hard work to make anything look easy.
That’s what I wrote this song about – feeling untouchable.
