The new darlings of the American post-rock scene are setting us on a collision course for the upcoming release of their second album with this epic, ten-minute third taster:
Guitarist Eric Kusanagi says of the release:
‘Collider’ is a song that when we play live seems to be a crowd favourite. It’s the longest song in our catalogue, at about 10 minutes long, and we wanted to take the listener on a journey that goes through a lot of peaks and valleys.
Speaking about the album – which sees the band unveiling a new line-up, with Jill Paslier moving from bass to guitars, and Brian Kong, Jon Seiler and Dan Sagherian joining on guitar, bass and drums respectively – Kusanagi added:
We wanted to show a larger range of musical themes on this record. You’ll hear us dive into some synth work, some piano work, some really interesting effects that [producer] Mario [Quintero] helped us dial up.
- ‘Wield‘ will be released via Pelagic Records on 20 June.
