Similarly living in a city built around a river, I’m used to bad smells lingering in the air, but there is nothing at all malodorous about this latest offering from this young Humberside punk trio, who may have been too young to take part in their native city’s City Of Culture shenanigans back in 2017, but certainly are playing their part in cementing its musical legacy…

Bass player Freddie Abbott explains a twist in the band’s story that gives purpose and meaning to the release:

To me, ‘Bad Odour’ is especially important as it’s tied to how the band came to be as it currently is. Culture Clash was a concept between three friends for a couple of years, but we never managed to develop the idea into something bigger.

However, after the unfortunate passing of our original bass player Charlie, we felt we had a responsibility to push the band into becoming something more. Then after James joined us on drums, that vision came about and this was the first song we finished writing on our first day in the rehearsal room.
