Robin Guy, perhaps best known to the ÜR massive as the drummer with cult glunksters Rachel Stamp, has died after a six-year battle with cancer. He was 54 years old.
Announcing his passing, his wife Jessica said on social media:
Robin has had the most incredible, crazy, colourful, rock and roll life and career and always stayed in good humour whatever he did. He put his heart and soul into everything he did and touched so many lives. The world will be a much darker place without him.
In addition to Rachel Stamp, Guy played in Sham 69 for more than a decade. He also toured with Faith No More, Violent New Breed, The Ragdolls and GMT, the latter alongside the late Bernie Tormé.
