Updated Bloodstock 2019 posterWith just over five weeks to go, Bloodstock has announced more acts for its Jäger and New Blood stages.

Taking to the festival’s smallest stage on the Friday will be Black Country stoner rockers, Eyes Of The Raven, while bringing something a little different is Sophie Sparham, a spoken word artist and author who’ll be kicking off the Jäger Stage proceedings with her music-inspired works, including ‘When I Grow Up I Wanna Be Napalm Death’.  Saturday’s bill will be completed by Daybreaker, with their blend of groove metal and hardcore, while Sunday will be rounded off with southern blues-soaked doomsters Victus.

Another wave of New Blood winners from the Metal 2 The Masses competitions have also been confirmed, as have their day slots.

Friday will feature Oxford’s The Hope Burden, Leeds’ Pravitas, Merseyside’s Marw, Nottingham’s Widows, Newcastle Upon Tyne’s Tomorrow Is Lost, Manchester’s Saurr, the splendidly named Goat Monsoon from Essex and Northants champions Reaper X.

Sunday’s New Blood stage will feature Poland’s Setheist andNorway’s Golden Core, who are ‘New Blood’ indeed, as they are a 14-year old and 17-year old doom metal duo. Sunday will also feature two guest bands: Fallen Temples from Wales and headliners Damim, featuring ex-Akercocke man Nathanael Underwood.
