This southern California indie-punk duo definitely have us #FeelingFine with this latest preview of their upcoming new album, which will have us all experiencing #BetterDays come early May.
The two musicians Stephen Ramos and Nick Sturz, told me a bit more about the song and its origin:
I had a regular at my job ask if I was alright because he could tell I wasn’t doing okay. Then he told me something that stuck – “don’t over think shit”. It was like a lightbulb moment. That mindset changed how I approached life. I started taking things day by day, finding peace in the chaos around me. That’s what ‘Feeling Fine’ is about—letting go, living in the moment, and realizing it’s okay not to have it all figured out.
Speaking about the album as a whole, they added:
These are some of the most intimate songs we have written. Diving back into raw and honest lyrics and driving it home with high energy through our music. The theme behind this record is Better Days. Learning from past hurt and mistakes and channeling that towards better days. Having hope that things will get better. Always growing and always learning. These songs are like journal entries covering all of the emotions one may feel during rough times. Still finding hope and climbing out of the depths.
- ‘Better Days‘ will be released on 2 May via Rude Records.
