Chosen by The Dark Queen
These blues-infused classic rockers may not have had us begging for mercy with this, their fourth single of the year, but they certainly had us begging for more as they supercharged their way out of Rochdale and into our inbox after tracking us down on Instagram.
Powerhouse singer Maria Rico says of the band’s influences and sound:
We like to describe our songs as supercharged stadium ready tunes infused with ethereal textures taking this well loved genre into our own territory. We are passionate about the 70s British blues rock scene and we are clearly influenced by this sound in our music, however we try to bring our own approach being influenced by many other genres from different backgrounds, bringing something fresh to the table whilst keeping the heritage alive.
Speaking about their latest single, she added:
It is a dark, explosive, psychedelic infused blues rock epic that showcases our electrifying musicianship and ambitious songwriting. Lyrically it mixes themes of lust and religion creating drama in the narrative through this juxtaposition.
