Chosen by Monk
These Athenian heavy rock juggernauts are preparing to #CheatDeath with the upcoming release of their fifth album, but in the meantime are swinging the ‘Götzen Hammer’ with this punk-infused ‘banger.
Speaking about the latest single, which features a guest performance on lead vocals from Api of fellow Athens metallers Frenzee, the band told me:
[It] is inspired by the one and only destroyer and creator, who ever walked the Earth. And hammering the idols, still. F.W.N
Talking about thematic behind the new album, due for release on 8 November via the wonderfully named Ouga Booga and the Mighty Oug Recordings (and our good friends Ripple Music in North America), the band elaborated:
In life, only death matters, and in music and arts most specifically, you can only realize life through death and vice versa. But what if you cheat death? What happens next? From Heraclitus to Camus, from Socrates to Nietzsche, sometimes we just reconsider how we approach things, life and death. We have to give our small lives a purpose as no one gives a fuck. And we must destroy the walls, limits and values to give it a reason because no one cares. That’s life, and that’s cheating death.
