Hip hop and metal have always been closely aligned and never been afraid to fuse with each other. Now, as the post-lockdown lights grow brighter by the day, a major new London festival is set to bring the two genres together for the first time, by featuring some of the top emerging artists from both miens.
The ALT+LDN event will take place on Clapham Common on Monday 30 August.
Of most interest to ÜR’s readership undoubtedly is the event’s indoor stage, which will be headlined by tech metal cognoscenti Architects, alongside rapid fire (sic) rapper Machine Gun Kelly. This part of the bill we be rounded out by Aussie alt-rockers Chase Atlantic, the mysterious genre-bending Sleep Token, trap metal artist Mimi Barks and nu-metal revivalists Wargasm.
Tickets for ALT+LDN are on sale now.
