Welcome to our ‘Video of the Week’ feature and it was another bumper week of submissions, with some seriously good quality clips hitting our inbox, making our selection slightly more difficult than usual. Fortunately, this week’s feature coincides with the latest edition of the ‘Singles Club’, so you can check out some of the other contenders there…
Our first selection comes from French extreme metallers Svart Crown with ‘Blessed Be The Fools’. It’s the third single taken from forthcoming album ‘Wolves Among The Ashes‘ and features a rather intense video backed by a rather evil sounding track, full of downtuned guitars and roared vocals.
The next, rather stunning, video is from In This Moment, featuring a rather striking visual for ‘The In-Between’ ably backed up by Maria Brink’s hypnotic vocals and monolithic riffing from guitarist Chris in this first single from upcoming release ‘Mother‘.
Industrial legends 3Teeth are our third pick with latest track ‘Altær’, with footage taken from their performace at the tenth anniversary of post-apocalyptic festival Wasteland in the Mojave desert, with another belting industrial metal track. 3Teeth return to the Über Kingdom next month for a run of half a dozen dates, starting in Nottingham this coming Saturday (1 February).
Finally we have Bad Wolves with ‘Sober’ and a thought provoking, emotion filled video which will have a pull at everything you have inside. It’s a modern rock ballad musical backing, full of melody and hooks and a worthy winner at this week’s top table! You can catch Bad Wolves live at the O2 Islington Academy this coming Wednesday (29 January), and then supporting Five Finger Death Punch and Megadeth at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff on Thursday and the SSE Arena on Friday.
