There was one video which stood head and shoulders above the rest when it came to picking our latest Video Of The Week, and that was the epic new offering from symphonic metal vikings Leaves’ Eyes, who are taking us on a journey into eternity with the latest preview of their upcoming new album, which in turn will see them retelling ‘Myths Of Fate’.
Vocalist Elina Siirala told us a bit more about the song:
[It] is one of the most personal songs in Leaves’ Eyes history, dedicated to [co-vocalist] Alex [Krull]’ late mother Heidi. It’s a tribute to our ancestors, a primal anthem to their lives and spirits. The song embodies the rawness of emotion which the video’s striking visuals accompany. The vast landscapes of Iceland and a pagan ceremony filmed in Wolin/Poland bring the story of the song alive in a captivating way.
