We certainly aren’t wasting our love as we take a #LEAP of faith with these London alt-rockers and the latest taster of their upcoming debut album, which is due for release in the Autumn:
Lead singer Jacky told us a bit more about the song:
‘Waste Your Love’ is about our guitarist Baby Mason, aka the Elvin Prince, aka Keith Ledger, using LEAP to get over a break-up.
We were on tour at the time and there was something so magical about having the LEAP community around to help get him out of his head. That’s basically what LEAP has become for all of us, and for a lot of our fans it seems. Whatever you’re going through, whether it’s a break-up or the loss of someone special or just your mind playing its sadistic games, LEAP is pure escapism. A bit of respite, a bit of love and support, a sprinkle of mosh pits and a fatty slice of rock n roll and you’re sorted.
We wanted to capture that in the video as well, so we invited some fans down to party with us at the end, and it was actually emotional as f**k: the energy in the room was just insane. People flew in from all over Europe just for 24hrs.. the connection that people are building around this project is so powerful, and we still can’t really believe it..
Speaking about the album, he added:
It feels so wild to be announcing the album. It’s only been 2 years since we started touring and getting out to places all over Europe and meeting people. It’s gone so fast and we’re loving every second of it.
Honestly, [we’re] so grateful that we’re able to keep it going. We’re a tiny team, it’s just us four, plus mates basically, so everyone has put in outrageous levels of hustle. But to be releasing a debut album together, it’s so exciting and we just wanna get this music out to as many people as possible.
The amount of fans that have become part of this family and connected with the music on a proper emotional level, it’s the best feeling ever. It’s the most rewarding thing about all of this, seeing people get a break from their heads and just let go for an hour. That’s exactly what it is for us as well. So to be able to share that with new people and bigger crowds, we’re so gassed for it.
