The theme of this weekend at ÜRHQ seems to be collaboration, as my latest audio-visual treat comes from another conjoining of forces, this time in form of dark synthwave industrialists Daedric and modern metallers Dal Av, who are #RacingTheParallel with this futuristic new offering, which comes complete with a suitably ‘Blade Runner’-inspired cyberpunk-style video (be warned, it does containing flashing images):
Speaking about the song, Deadric vocalist Kristyn Hope told us:
When Logan (Young – Dal Av guitarist) approached me about doing a track together I was compelled by the futuristic ferocity of the instrumental. I wanted to bring a new level of intensity to my performance and lyrics that haven’t been displayed previously. ‘Racing The Parallel’ is a story about the slim margin that exists between love and hate and how relationships can often exist somewhere in-between and fluctuate constantly.
