So, here we are, pummelling and pounding our way through another month of quality releases to bring you our latest pick of the hottest sounds that have been battering and tickling our eardrums over the past week. But, why waste inane and needless words… let’s dive straight into this week’s playlist, shall we?

The grunge-infused Forfar pop punks are whipping up a firestorm and setting things alight with our first selection, their latest standalone offering to make our playlist this year:
Beat Me Outta Me ‘Nowhere To Hide’ (Self-Released)
This young Cambridgeshire alt-rock five-piece introduce themselves to the club’s deathdecks with their second single since forming at college in Peterborough last year, and hopefully won’t be needing to somewhere to hide their light:
Bicycle Inn ‘Longsword (4th Place)’ (Self-Released)
The Boston emos proves that it takes more than a couple of years of recorded silence to turn down their obsession with all things GoT/LoTR-esque, with this thematic continuation of their 2022 sophomore EP:
Coach Party ‘Disco Dream’ (Chess Club Records)
The alt-rock quartet are taking to the dancefloor with this collaboration with Black Honey, the third appetizer from their upcoming new album, which will see us lapping up some ‘Caramel’ on its release at the end of the month:
Cranial ‘Structures’ (Moment Of Collapse)
The title track of the upcoming fourth album from the German post-metal/sludge four piece, which is due for release at the beginning of next month:
Die Tired ‘Why Won’t You Wake Up?’ (SODEH Records)
The first release from the newly expanded line-up of the Pennsylvanian grunge/alt-rock infused pop punkers:
Eld Varg ‘Darkest Waves’ (Self-Released)
The Glaswegian NWoTHMers crash (sic) out of our speakers with this latest sample of their upcoming second album, due for release in mid-November:
Emerald Sunday ‘Last Call’ (Self-Released)
The Caledonian crews are getting a healthy hearing this week, as this Dundee indie-rock quartet treat us to an updated version of a song that was never released when it was first recorded back in 2011:
Glasgow Kiss ‘Those Wasted Years’ (Eclipse Records)
We’ve actually moved from Scotland, as this Norwegian alt-metal mob treat us to the first sample of their new album, which hopefully won’t see them shot ‘Down In Flames’ when it is released in December:
Half Dizzy ‘Easton’ (Punkerton Records)
These Long Island skate punks are in retrospective mood for this latest standalone offering, and hopefully their retrospection also involves forward planning with a full album in the pipeline?
Hell Hotel ‘promises’ (Self-Released)
The Brighton emo/alt/post-hardcore duo love their lower-case titles, but things are very definitely on the up and up with this, their fourth single offering:
Hukies ‘Get It Out’ (Self-Released)
Hopefully all will not be kaputt for these Austrian punk newcomers when they release their debut EP, of which this is the first sample to come our way, next month:
Love Your Witch ‘Strider’ (Self-Released)
The first extract from the upcoming eighth album by these Israeli stoner/thrash emigres (they’re now based in Berlin), which is due to see us tuning into ‘Radio Fantasia’ in mid-November:
Malota ‘In A Common Grave’ (Go Down Records)
The psychedelic Italian stoners reveal the first sample from their second album, due for release on 10 October:
Psychonaut ‘And You Came With Searing Light’ (Pelagic Records)
The Belgian psychedelic post-metal collective share the first track written for their upcoming new album, ‘World Maker’, which is due for release in mid-October:
Sean Findlay ‘Friday Night’ (Self-Released)
The grand finale rabblerouser from the hit Fifties-themed musical written and toured to packed houses by the Dundee retro-rockin’ troubadour:
Silver Dollar Room ‘Normal People’ (Self-Released)
The ebullient Edinburgh alt-rockers have boldly asserted that ‘It Can’t Rain All The Time’ with their debut album, released just this past Friday and from which this was the final taster to tickle our eardrums:
The Fear ‘Suffering’ (Self-Released)
The Manchester alt-rock/nu-metal crüe, who feature former members of Dear Superstar and Death Blooms in their ranks, round out a busy year of touring with this standalone release:
The Fixer ‘It Will End Tonight’ (WormHoleDeath Records)
The Canadian gothic post-hardcore industrial punks follow up their 2023 debut album with this new standalone offering, released to coincide with an epic year-end tour of their homeland:
Westbound Train ‘L.M.A.’ (Self-Released)
The LA ska collective round out this week’s playlist by presenting the first sample of their upcoming new album, which will see them #SingTheGhostAway when it is released at the beginning of November:
