Curated by Monk

So, here we are, pummelling and pounding our way through another week of quality releases to bring you our latest pick of the hottest sounds that have been battering and tickling our eardrums. But, why waste inane and needless words… let’s dive straight into this week’s playlist, shall we?

abandcalledlove ‘The Love I Can’t Let Go’ (Valiant Sound Co.)

The Atlanta indie/alt-pop rock combo are definitely sharing the love on this second sample from their upcoming debut EP, which will be released via their own imprint this coming weekend:

Black Dog Moon ‘Neon Queen’ (Self-Released)

Born out of the ashes of another blues-infused hard rock combo, Sweetleaf, this quintet have served up the latest taster of their upcoming second album, which will see them transporting us to #HellAndBack’ in November:

Cindy Lawson ‘The Reckoning’ (Hygh Tension Records)

The Minneapolis punk rocker comes screaming out of a retirement that has lasted several decades to show that she may have nothing to prove but she’s still got plenty to say for herself after all this time:

Droptune ‘Reaper’ (Self-Released)

The Dublin nu-metal electro-industrialists serve up their second single, which features guest vocals from Niamh Van Rensburg:

Edit The Tide ‘Dancing With Shadows’ (Self-Released)

The South Wales alt-metallers herald the release of their second EP at the end of November with this impressive first sample:

Franklin ‘Tiny Chairs’ (Self-Released)

The Belfast alt-emo-indie five-piece return with their third single, released after a period of prolonged live activity, which looks set to continue in 2026 as they prepare to send more new material our way:

Going Off ‘No One Loves You’ (Self-Released)

The Mancunian heavy hardcore punk quartet don’t have to worry about living up to the title of this taster of their upcoming new EP, due for release on Halloween, as we love both it and them (well, we wouldn’t be playlisting it if we didn’t, would we now?):

Harkon ‘Watch The World Go By’ (Doc Gator Records)

These German melodic progressive metallers have been living up to the title of this, the first single from the upcoming debut album, which in itself has been six years in the making:

House Of Hosts ‘Pedestal’ (Self-Released)

The Swansea sluggers are preparing to deliver a #Reckoning with the release of their debut EP this coming Friday, and we’re pleased to put them on our playlist #Pedestal to celebrate:

It’s Irrelevant ‘I’m Very Feel’ (Self-Released)

There’s definitely nothing irrelevant about this East London alt-rock/pop-punk combo, who are getting us feeling warm and fuzzy all over with this colourful standalone feelgood anthem:

Ivory Daze ‘Corset’ (Quiet Panic Records)

The grunge-inflected New England shoegaze trio serve up the latest taste of their upcoming new EP, which will see them delivering a healthy dose of #Chlorine into our systems in just a few weeks’ time:

Peer Pleasure ‘Rooms’ (Self-Released)

This Wexford “orchestra” – there are eight of them in the band – draw as much on garage rock as they do classic country and post-punk as they address the issue the issue of active addiction (even interjecting snippets of conversations heard at AA and Narcotics Anonymous meeting into their lyrical mix):

Rat Silo ‘When The Cops Start Running’ (SODEH Records)

The Vancouver indie rock veterans blend alt-rock, electronica and grunge on this, their first new music in two years:

The Czech modern metallers provide yet another sample of their upcoming debut EP, due for release at the beginning of November and from which this is the fourth single to be extracted:

The Fods ‘I Get Blamed’ (Good Stock Records)

The Atlantic Ocean hopping punk collective – they feature members from New Jersey and Cheshire – push their geographic boundaries even further teaming up with Helsinki hellraisers Headphone Jacks for this typically tongue-in-cheek offering (which comes backed with a version of the Buzzcocks classic ‘What Do I Get?’ – bloody good value for money, that’s what!):

The Interrogation ‘Wicked Happy’ (Self-Released)

The Vancouver pop punks celebrate their transition from a solo project fronted by former Hawthorne Heights touring guitarist Thom Turner to a full-fledged band entity with their first new music in five years:

Vittra ‘MOFO’ (Self-Released)

The Swedish melodeath/thrashers round out this week’s selection with this sample from their just released second album, which hopefully didn’t meet with #IntenseIndifference from metallers when it came out this past week:

So, there you have it, our latest dynamic and eclectic selection. Hopefully we’ve opened your ears to some new sounds, and pointed you in the direction of some fine tuneage to kick your new rock ‘n’ roll week off in style… Until next time, remember: keep ‘er lit, keep ‘er between the hedges and keep on Über Röckin’ in the free world \m/
