So, here we are, pummelling and pounding our way to the end of another month of quality releases to bring you our latest pick of the hottest sounds that have been battering and tickling our eardrums over the past week. But, why waste inane and needless words… let’s dive straight into this week’s playlist, shall we?
Adam And The Hellcats ‘Another Sad Song’ (Self-Released)
Perhaps the most inappropriate song title with which to ever kick off a Singles Club playlist, especially as the Bristolian rock ‘n’ rollers are prepping for the release, this very coming week, of their third album:
Bee Bee Sea ‘Keep It Cool’ (Wild Honey Records)
The lead cut from the Italian psych-garage trio’s new double A-side, the first sample of their new album, full details of which will be announced in due course – although we can reveal that it will assert that someone called Stanzini can be an alright type of person…
Chasing Dolls ‘Cobweb’ (Self-Released)
The Bristol-based emo-skatepunk fourpiece add a gritty British twist to that distinctive midWest sound with this latest standalone offering, guaranteed to blow any remaining cobwebs out of your eardrums:
Downpour ‘Barely Afloat’ (Self-Released)
Our second successive Bristol-based band, this melodic hardcore mob are not so much #BarelyAfloat but riding the crest of a wave following the release of their debut album earlier this year, of which this is the latest sample:
Earls Of Babylon ‘Piece Of My Mind’ (Wicked Cool Records)
The irrepressible and seemingly omnipresent and unstoppable rock ‘n’ roll force that is Steve Conte once again teams up with long-time buddy Brian Ray (and a few other like-minded buddies) for this slice of face-to-face live-in-the-studio mayhem:

Face Yourself ‘Wet Dreams’ (Sumerian Records)
The transatlantic transcontinental deathcore collective have just unleashed the full #Fury of their second EP:
GASMM ‘Black Hole In The Sky’ (Self-Released)
The debut single from these young Belgian grunge-inflected alt-indie shoegazing noiseniks:
Halcyon Low ‘Clover’ (Self-Released)
The Cork shoegazers follow in the footsteps of fellow countrymen My Bloody Valentine with their first new track since 2023’s self-titled debut EP:
Hellfox ‘Water On The Ceiling’ (Rockshots Records)
The Italian metallers present us with another view of #TheSpectrumOfHumanGravity with this latest commentary from the album issued back in the long-lost mists of time that were the beginning of the summer:
Henry’s Funeral Shoe ‘Hey!!! (What’s Your Pleasure?)’ (XXX)
The Welsh brothers return to action after a lengthy hiatus with this self-described “gravedigger’s playlist” of a gritty four-minute blues-rock ‘banger:
Low Wave ‘Poison Pear’ (Self-Released)
The Exeter post-desert grungers follow up last year’s debut EP with the first release to feature new vocalist Leanne Pharaoh:
Sky Valley Mistress ‘Thundertaker’ (New Heavy Sounds)
Having just completed the first leg of a run of ÜK dates, the double-drumming desert rock duo take us into the sonic stratosphere aboard the hearse in which they actually tour with this first sample of their upcoming new album, which will see them taking us on a trip to the ‘Luna Mausoleum’ at the end of January:
SoftSun ‘Sacred Heart’ (Heavy Psych Sounds)
These shoegazing post-desert rockers may live virtually geographic poles apart – one in California’s Mojave Desert, the other in the icy cold of Norway – but they’ll be sharing the brightness of #EternalSunshine with the release of their latest collaborative effort at the beginning of November:
Star Crystal ‘Power Of Love’ (Self-Released)
These Ukrainians are putting the gunpowder in the glitter cannon that propels us straight bact to the ‘80s — a glam/hard rock time machine fueled by big hair, bigger hooks, and the unstoppable spirit of rock ‘n’ roll rebellion. Think Mötley Crüe meets Vixen with a splash of Whitney Houston soul and a wardrobe explosion from a Whitesnake video. If you’re not dancing, screaming, or air-guitaring by the second chorus — check your pulse:
The Astronauts ‘Ease Up’ (Flip Flop Records)
This trans-Atlantic collaborative duo say that they make songs through satellites – after all, one is based in Detroit, the other in Ireland – and have firmly placed themselves in our orbit with this first sample of new music to come from their latest project:
TRNDS ‘Knots And Crosses’ (Self-Released)
The Glaswegian alt-pop draw as much from The Smiths and The Cure as they do Panic At The Disco! on their latest standalone independent release:
When They Riot ‘Propane Nightmares’ (Self-Released)
The Leeds grunge-inflected retro alt-rock trio round off this week’s playlist with this latest choice cut supplied by our good friends at the Reaction Management stable, who consistently send us material that goes straight to the priority listening file in our packed inbox:
So, there you have it, our latest dynamic and eclectic selection. Hopefully we’ve opened your ears to some new sounds, and pointed you in the direction of some fine tuneage to kick your new rock ‘n’ roll week off in style… Until next time, remember: keep ‘er lit, keep ‘er between the hedges and keep on Über Röckin’ in the free world \m/
