Chosen by The Dark Queen
We’re not risking incurring the #Wrath of this Texan quartet with this, the second track to be lifted from their upcoming new EP, ‘If You Do Not Fear Me…’, due to be released at the beginning of October:
Vocalist Haley Roughton explained how ‘Wrath’ follows on from the lyrical themes of last year’s debut offering, ‘A Bud That Never Blooms’, which in itself was a deeply personal exploration of the complexities of femininity:
‘Wrath’ is the culmination of resentment, cynicism and fear that was made from the experiences in ‘A Bud That Never Blooms’. Between the societal turmoil of ‘Doomsday’, the death of romance in ‘Babylon’ and the familial heartbreak in ‘Heaven Is Above Me,’ the human condition can wreak havoc on what was supposed to be stability and peace.
- ‘If You Do Not Fear Me…‘ will be released on 3 October via Spinefarm.
- Gore. tour with Of Mice And Men in November/December:
