Chosen by Monk

The Uber Rock Approved stampMy latest choice of noisy goodness comes from London angular alt-punks Girls In Synthesis, who are practising the art of ‘Deceit’ with this latest choice cut from their imminently-released third album, ‘Sublimination’, due out at the beginning of next month.

Bassist and vocalist John Linger explained a bit about the song and its dark thematic:

It deals with a duplicitous, unhealthy relationship and about your position in it. I think it’s easy to feel misplaced in life, and not know where you stand with other people. People are complicated and sometimes don’t say what they think. Sometimes second-guessing another’s motives is dangerous, but it’s natural to want to resolve issues in those situations.

  • ‘Sublimation’ is released via Own It Music on 3 May.
  • Girls In Synthesis tour in May and June.
