Having first discovered The Blackheart Orchestra during their current tour supporting Hawkwind with orchestral backing, I’ve become quite enamoured with them quite quickly. I was highly impressed with their ability and the fact that their sets, performed entirely live, are that well played they actually sound looped instead of raw ability.
I had a good catch up with Chrissy and Rick when said tour stopped off in Manchester to talk about their influences, song writing, their method of playing live – 148 gigs in the first year! – and their music spanning so many genres so well that they don’t fit into a single box.
Have a listen to us chatting away HERE.
