Manny Charlton, founding guitarist of Scottish classic rock legends Nazareth, has died at the age of 80.

Spanish-born Charlton co-founded the band in Dunfermline in 1968, playing a lead role in both their formative and most productive years, before leaving in 1990. He went on to work with Guns ‘N Roses in the pre-production process for what later became their breakthrough ‘Appetite For Destruction’ debut album.
