Alan Lancaster, co-founder and long-time bassist with Status Quo, has died at the age of 72, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis.
Lancaster founded the Quo with Francis Rossi in 1962, remaining in the band until 1985. He briefly re-united with Rossi, Rick Parfitt and John Coghlan for the ‘Frantic Four’ tour in 2013/14.
