They haven’t played together in 23 years, so you can forgive die hard Guns N’ Roses fans for going crazy.

For many years, it looked there would be no chance of a reunion. The aloof Axl Rose was pretty steadfast against working with his former lead guitarist Slash. After the band split in 1993 after a show in South America, legal battles eschewed followed by a war of words between the global rock stars.

However, time is a healer. With the two icons having seemingly patched up their differences, Guns N’ Roses announced they would play an initial 5 shows in Mexico, Coachella and of course two high-profile shows in their second home, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Although they didn’t get the privilege of opening Vegas’s new T-Mobile Arena, they will be playing the first back-to-back performances in the new arena. Guns N’ Roses will perform at the arena on April 8 & 9 according to the Review Journal. On April 6, the Killers will play the first show at the arena in front of a sold-out crowd. The Killers, like Guns N’ Roses, have recently been on a hiatus therefore their return is also eagerly anticipated by their fans.

The T-Mobile arena will be the biggest concert arena in Las Vegas when it opens its doors in April. CBS Sports reported the development cost the MGM Resorts International a staggering $250 million to develop and is situated just off the legendary Strip behind the New York New York and Monte Carlo casinos.

It’s just another addition to the MGM’s long list of entertainment establishments in the region. With many smaller casino operators being forced to close because of the surge in online participation and the likes of the MGM and Cesars dominating the industry, thus the competition for gaming revenue has never been so fierce in the gaming arena. Leading operator Gala Casinohas even tried to mimic real life casino experiences by offering patrons live dealers to serve their players. And it is innovative features such as this that now means the online industry is now worth a whopping $27 billion according to Tech Fruit.

Thus, welcoming the likes of Guns N’ Roses to its new arena has meant that the MGM has successfully stayed at the top of the industry and continues to put on the best shows in town.

Take note; the two shows have already sold out, although there are expected to be some resale tickets available closer to the date.
