Snow Patrol – arguably Northern Ireland’s most commercially successful band ever – have announced details of a massive 25th anniversary hometown show next Spring.
As its name suggests, Ward Park 3, which takes place on Saturday 25 May, will be the third in series of outdoor shows staged in their native Bangor (that’s the one in north Down not Wales). The previous shows were in 2007 and 2010.
Support will come from an exclusively Northern Irish bill, including the likes of Ash, rising pop punks Brand New Friend, former NI Music Prize winner Foy Vance, Jealous Of The Birds and SOAK, with more to be announced.
The announcement was made as Snow Patrol returned to Belfast for the first of two sold out shows at the city’s SSE Arena this weekend. Tickets for Ward Park 3 will go on sale next Friday (14 December) from all usual outlets.
