Poster for first announcement by Damnation FestivalLong revered as the one-stop shop for all things extreme and heavy as the winter months close in, Damnation Festival has unveiled its first wave of bands for the 2020 event. No headliners have popped up yet, but the festival has already confirmed that this release’s lead band Pig Destroyer will enjoy an hour long set when they return to the ÜK in November.

Joining them are UK thrash legends Onslaught (in a ÜK exclusive performance), prophets of doom Pallbearer, death metal warriors Gatecreeper, sludgers Morne and avant-garde metal troupe Behold The Arctopus. Damnation will also host the ÜK debut appearances by black metal nasties Devil Master, thrashers High Command and hotly tipped newcomers Irist.

Damnation Festival is held at Leeds University and will be held on Saturday 7 November. Tickets are on-sale now, with more acts (including the as-yet undisclosed headliners) expected to be announced in due course.
