Classic Scottish rockers Heavy Pettin are to have their entire back catalogue – all three albums of it –released on CD at the end of the month.

Debut album ‘Lettin Loose’, follow up ‘Rock Ain’t Dead’ and ‘The Big Bang’, which was originally released after the band split up, are being re-issued via Burnt Out Wreckords – the label helmed by HP founder/drummer Gary Moat – on 29 November.

Founded by Moat, guitarist Gordon Bonnar, bassist Brian Waugh, vocalist Steve ‘Hamie’ Hayman and lead guitarist Punky Mendoza in 1981, Heavy Pettin split up in 1988, with their third album, ‘The Big Bang’, being released “posthumously” the following year. The band was reconstituted two years ago by Bonnar and Hayman – ironically, after Moat started to enjoy renewed success fronting his Burnt Out Wreck project – and continue to tour the UK and European “legacy circuit”, as it has come to be known. A new studio album is reported to be in the pipeline.

All three re-issues are available to pre-order HERE.
